More Autumn In Takao-san

This pigeon deserve every right as human to enjoy a 40 mins train ride to Takao-San for Autumn leafs viewing. She lined up behind the yellow line, wait for the train arrival announcement, board the train just like every other human. She even give the seat to more deserving people. She choose to stand. :)

Takao-san is beautiful.... with yellow trees...

Red trees....

Small small temple along the hiking route..

Once we got down the train, it was just human everywhere! According to the map, the whole hiking takes around 100 mins up. I think if it includes the human-traffic-jam, it's way more than 100 mins up.

The line was 5km long to buy this.

The view up was mostly covered by trees, but nevertheless, awesome view along the way.

It was freaking cold. Although hiking, but I was shivering all the way up.

Mutant Ninja Turtle hiking in Takao San.

There's more human than red leafs.

We reached the top of Takao San which is 599m above sea level. Here, you could get a good nice view of Fuji-san with a sunset backdrop.

The sky gets dark around 430pm during autumn-winter season. A joy ride weekend escapee, turns out to be an adventurous route when down hill, with total darkness kidda stuck in the middle of jungle. I was praying we would not get lost in a foreign jungle.

It was an extraordinary day, with an extraordinary bus stop.

Ponyo Ponyo

Ponyo on the Cliff by the Sea (崖の上のポニョ, Gake no Ue no Ponyo) by Hayao Miyazaki (Spirited Away) is my new favourite animated film by Ghibli Studio.

Reason *1

Ponyo doesnt like bread, but she likes ham! (ハムが大好き!)

Reason *2

Ponyo has super cool parents.

Reason *3

Ponyo has super lovely sparkling eyes!

Reason *4

Ponyo treasures emergency light during current blackout.

This animation is about a fish name ponyo. A boy named Sosuke rescued her from the sea after she was stuck in a bottle. Ponyo's dad went frantic after he found out Ponyo ran away from home, caught her back, and then, she ran away again. (BAD PONYO!) This time, she came back as a 5 year-old girl. Then..... they kiss... then the end.

Love it, because Ponyo is just too adorable!

Expressive Nippon In Hakone

Who says Japanese people cant speak their mind?

At least not the Japanese we met in Hakone who express themselves in i-adjectives.

When they see Red leaves,

They shout, Kirei ! Kirei!!! (Beautiful)

Sometimes they shout, Sugoku Kirei!! (Extremely Beautiful)

When they see Sakura, they shout,

Again...

Kirei.. Kirei..!

In Hakone Open-Air Musuem,

They shout,

Omoshiroii... (Interesting!)

When they see the 5th statue is way smaller than the other 4, they shout

Hen! (Strange)

When they see a sculpture spread on the grass,

They shout,

Kawaiii.. (cute)

When they see Picasso Musuem,

They Shout,

SUGOI!! (Terrific!)

When they see glass wall below,

They shout,

Kakkoiii.. (cool)

When they see the Hakone Tozan cablecar and ropeway,

They...

Didnt shout, just rushed in.

But when they see the crater created by last volcano eruption 3000 years ago in Owakudani, with boiling river and sulfurous fumes,

They shout..

Bikkuri!! (Surprised!)

When they see the pirates boat in Lake-Ashi,

They shout,

"Herrrr........!"

When they see the jinja by the lakeside,

They shout,

Sugoii...!!

and again Kirei......

When they see Fuji-san.....

in the end of the day, everyone just got so sick of shouting i-adjectives, they didnt even bother to look.
