Scariest Day

Yesterday I was lazing in front of the TV comfyly, looking at the clock, realized it was already 6pm, inside of me start to wonder where is my mom, thought she must be working overtime again, thinking later when she comes back, surely lament about the overload of cases she was having everyday.

Then the phone rang, I was even lazy to get it. However, still get my butt off, drag myself to the cordless, and bring it with me to the living room, so that the next phone call, i no need to get up. My lazy-bones.

It was my granny,

Granny: Where is your mummy?
Me: Not sure really, guess must be working late in the casualty. (It's the emergency room where my mom has to do portable X-Rays.)
Granny: Oh, she didn’t call back?
Me: No wo.
Granny: Now listen to me, you be calm all right?
Me: Oh, sure.
Granny: Your mom is in the casualty, but she is admitted.
Me: .......

Suddenly, I went speechless, I went blank, I felt like totally bonkers, even before hearing what was the matter with her.

Granny: Go see your mom now.

We hanged up; I called up my younger sister and told her about it. I could hear her voice panicked in the phone too. Then immediate, I ran to the hospital. I actually had forgotten that I should drive there.

Once I reached there, saw her talking to the doctor, and she saw me coming, smiled. She was okay; I was suddenly flooded with relief. I can’t put in words to describe me myself in that moment I saw her, but that easing feeling makes me drowned into tears. It turns out that her blood pressure was too high, and the doctor afraid that she was too nervous about it and further worsen her condition, so the doctor anesthetize her to sleep for two hours.

Luckily, it was nothing serious. Off course, later that night, that incident became the joke of the house, she called my granny and told her that I cried, and she laughed about it in front of my other sisters. Well, what to say, I am simply glad that this whole scary incident was later developed into merely a delighting dinner story to tell.
